All Points Broadband proudly supports the Woodgrove High School Odyssey of the Mind team.
Odyssey of the Mind is a creative competition for students from grade school through college. The teams work to design the best solution to a long-term problem, and they present their answers on the day of the competition using various theatrical and constructive methods.
Woodgrove High School in Purcellville recently won Virginia’s statewide competition, which qualified them to travel to the World Finals, held this year at Michigan State University on May 20-23.
The team is currently raising money so that they can make the trip and compete in this prestigious event. Information on their fundraising efforts can be found on the WHS Odyssey of the Mind Facebook page.
All Points Broadband values the creative and constructive skills taught by Odyssey of the Mind, so we are happy to offer our support in getting our local students to the World Finals.
We wish the team luck in both their fundraising and in the competition.

The All Points operations team is pleased to announce that we have completed a major upgrade of the Mount Weather transmission equipment serving several hundred customers in the areas around Berryville, Bluemont and Middleburg.
Customers in these areas need to have the equipment at their location upgraded in order to enjoy the faster speeds our upgraded network provides. For a limited time, we are providing this equipment and installation at no charge to existing customers. Our support team is in the process of contacting customers who are eligible to receive upgraded service to schedule installations. Once upgraded, customers have access to speeds needed for work, for school, or just for fun. The positive response to our upgraded service has been overwhelming, and we thank our customers for their patience as we continue our network upgrades.
Customers whose equipment is ready for upgrade will receive an email or phone call letting them know that they can call All Points at 703-554-6600 to set up an appointment to receive their free equipment upgrade.
With warmer weather here at last, the pace of our network upgrades will accelerate. We look forward to providing you with state-of-the-art connectivity. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates!

All Points Broadband, northern Virginia’s leading wireless Internet service provider, announced today that it will acquire Loudoun Wireless.
“We are excited to welcome Loudoun Wireless and its customers to the All Points network,” said Jimmy Carr, CEO of All Points Broadband. “This acquisition dramatically expands our service area and will give more homes and businesses in western Loudoun access to the next level of broadband service.”
“It was important to us to work with a partner with a similar vision and a commitment to continuing to improve broadband access in the communities we serve,” said Loudoun Wireless owner Gloria Westerman. “All Points Broadband is that partner, and this is an excellent opportunity for our customers.”
Loudoun Wireless customers will receive additional information regarding this transition over the next few weeks and do not need to take any action at this time. There will be no disruption of service and customers with loudounwireless.com email addresses will have uninterrupted access to their accounts.
Once the transition is complete, All Points will begin upgrading the Loudoun Wireless network to provide speeds that are up to 15 times faster than Loudoun Wireless’ current offerings for residential customers. Commercial accounts will have access to speeds of up to 1000 Mbps.
All Points Broadband and Loudoun Wireless expect to complete the transaction at the end of March. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
In November 2014, All Points acquired Roadstar Internet Inc., another Internet service provider in Loudoun County. Upgrades to the Roadstar network are well underway and on schedule for completion this fall.
